It is easy to involve para swimmers in Swimify. All para classes can be found in Swimify Meet Manager and you can choose to handle an event specific for para swimmers using WPS points or integrate para and non-para swimmers in the same event using Multi class points.
When you add a para swimmer to your competition, you tick the checkbox that it is a para swimmer, and you can choose the swimmers para class for each swim style. If you import entries from a Lenex entry file, the para classes are saved automatically if they are specified in the entry file.
WPS points (World Para Swimming points)
Yearly, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) update the parameters for The WPS points and in Swimify you can choose for each competition which parameters you will use and if you should use the specific calculation for youths. When you confirm the results, the WPS points and rank are calculated automatically, and you can show the result list in WPS points order.
The IPC have not created parameters for all para classes and distances. In Swimify Meet Manager you can manually add the parameters for them. For example, 50m distances for para class S14. Classes 15-19 is also missing from WPS points unless you enter WPS parameters manually.
Multiclass points
You can also tick the checkbox for an event that you want to use Multi class points. Then all swimmers results are calculated with the formula for FINA-points, but using a specific base time for each para class and also for non-para swimmers.
When you confirm the results, the Multiclass points and rank are automatically calculated for all swimmers and you show the result list in Multiclass points order and not in time order. The base times can be imported in Swimify or you can manually add the base times for actual class.
You can also sort and show the result list in para class and time order.
